The Path of partnered joy.

If you ever want to appreciate the joys of living a rather calm way of life, then in all that comes with and for it, be truthful to yourself.       We walk many paths with all the niceties, soft grounds, but amidst them are uncertainties and thorns. Be it tangible, good, bad or otherwise, they all count to as a means to an end. Quantum physics explains what has been used as a brilliant metaphor albeit as a literary perfection using the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle; “You can never simultaneously know the exact position and the exact speed of an object’. Uncertainty is often explained as a result of measurement, that the act of measuring an object, changes its speed or vice versa; the real origin is much deeper and intriguing.      “Joy and woe are woven fine.” William Blake’s line from the poem “ Auguries of Innocence ” elegantly and simply nibbles from the same kernel of wisdom. For what better way to put it but call i...

The prime of life ;Grasp it.

I created this "concept" video three years ago, the words are not my own, credit goes to the pearly and lustrous voice, of a great mentor, and a motivator, Mr. Johnson Mwakazi. I hadn't sat to really take in the words; today I did. Well, that was quite a befitting piece, for the times. Of course, motivation is not permanent. But then, neither is bathing; but it is something you should do on a regular basis. We look up to our mentors for various reasons, one being to always strive to achieve like they have. To the words, “The prime of life may be great, there is up and there is also down, one may reach the summit, but where else can one move on, except for descending again.” 01:12 Listen on. Gerry

Seasons Timeline

Seasons fade in and out like soft lullabies, their transitions slow but never faltering. Like mother earth herself they only turn in one direction, always onward, never back. As they wax and wane the pace of life changes. During the holidays, everyone is high energy, all systems go. With the first touch of new years, and well into the crisp feel moving over the high-rises and suburbia like a shallow wave, a  quieter  pace sets in. Dry winter sets in, flatter still, but never falling into a negative spin, dust and snarling  traffic. Town-folk are recovering from spending sprees.  Then spring comes to wake the  intermittent downpours, dirty streets and gloomy skies.sprouting grass , trees and blooms.  The seasons come and go like old friends. They bring memories of seasons past and the promise of seasons to come. They dance by us changing gradually in their back and forth way, two steps forward and one step back. And like time itself we cannot halt th...

Contention

Sleep failed me, I shuffled my cards but, a mnesia wasn't one of them. I have been under wraps for sometime now. A life cycle, I have to call it; cocoon stage is pretty nasty at that. I feared the light of day and cowered behind shadows of self piety. I rocked back and forth in darkness mauling huge chunks of fear. Every approaching footsteps of opportunity was too condescending and deafening, and often made me peer into the blinding light, with a tiptoe.  Neighbors next door, whispered, that a forlorn spirit had possessed me, I could hear frightened murmurs and naysays when I collected enough courage to walk out, or so I thought. (This goes out to all those who think they are freaks; talk and smile alone, notwithstanding). There is this huge dark cloud, that started out in the horizon as a tiny wisp of an imaginary shape. I dismissed it to be some bloke burning charcoal or sending a smoke signal to some primitive chap, maybe. Drawing closer, with time, it took the shape ...
